How to get bond with my sugar gliders?

I just got two female sugar gliders from someone in bellmore, they told me they were a year and a half old, they are healthy and everything. I am feeding them well and all the nutrients. Ive had them for about a week tomorrow. They seem to run around the cage when i put my hand in. If i go to get their bowl to refill and such they run away. Sometimes they let me get close, but i hear everyone on the internet saying how they can pick theirs up and do various things with them like keep them in a pouch next to them. I can in no way get close to picking them up or getting them in a pouch. Will they eventually let me pick them up? I let them out of the cage and they run around the room and have fun, but it takes me 20 minutes to get them back in when they just run away. Any tips please, I wanna let them out and get a good bond with them. Two females by the way
