Could this cause custody problems?

I have to be brief. I was reccomended fo a choir job in this county. I got voted down and my ex was ultimately hired (his BF has a friend on the board of ed.) His work record is crappy, been fired twice, written up, bad evals, etc. Mine is excellent, but I have less experience BC I stayed home with the kids for four years. Also, he has always done band and I have always done choir. now I've taken a long term sub gig an hour away (I did the same job last year, now the school is consolidated, and they can't offer me a contract unless they put it up for bid and no one else in the county bids on it, and no one with more experience bids on it) I am thinking of moving, but am worried that may affect custody of my children. I live in WV. any thoughts?
